AME (DGCA) Courses Eligibility
It is the unique engineering program as compared to traditional engineering like BE and B.Tech.
The candidates who desire to be an AME have to fulfil following eligibility:-
1. Candidate must passed 10+2 PCM or equivalent AICTE, Govt. of India approved 3 years engineering diploma in any stream or any higher qualification in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the time of admission.
2. Candidate who are eligible for admission in B.Tech Courses are also eligible for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course.
3. Candidate age can be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission.
4. Candidate must have 10+2 with PCM or equivalent.
AME (DGCA) Courses Duration
There are two Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course duration which are as follows:-
A Program: The duration of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is 1-year academic program on the campus and the other 1 year there will be training with live environment in Airlines, MRO organizations, etc. At the time of training, student will get the stipend. After completion of the course, student can apply for the license. The license is issued by DGCA, Govt. of India.
B Program: The duration of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is of 4 years which includes 2 years academic program and 2 years practical training. The academic knowledge will be gathered at DGCA, Govt. of India approved AME institute and live training will be held in flying environment such as Airlines, MRO, etc. At the time of training, student will get the stipend. After clearing the modules and practical training license will be issued by DGCA, Govt. of India. The licensed AME can work in private or government sector in India and Abroad.

To become AME, the candidate has to follow following AME Admission Process:-
1. Exam conducted by JEE INDIA-2021
2. To join AME Course a candidate should fill the form of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering JOINT Entrance Examination (JEE INDIA).
3. After clearing that JEE INDIA Exam, according to the All India Rank (AIR) of JEE INDIA they will get admission in top AME institutes approved by DGCA, Govt of India.
AME (DGCA) Courses Syllabus
AME Course is 4 year license program in which candidate has to undergo 2 year academic program and 2 years training in flying environment. In this 2 year academic program, candidate studies about theoretical and practical knowledge of aircraft engineering, principals and components. There are 17 modules by DGCA, Govt of India. The candidate has to choose stream, modules are depends upon the stream of candidate. Candidate has to clear modules to achieve the AME License. Module 1 and 2 are not applicable in India.

In AME Course there will be practical training in flying environment. When the candidate undergo through training there will stipend provided to them from 15K to 25K per month. After training of 2 years and clearing the modules the AME license will be issued to the candidates from DGCA, Govt of India.
